Health insurance agents and brokers who are lobbying to be excluded from the medical-loss ratio provision contributed more than $3.18 million in the 2010 election, the Hill’s Healthwatch reports. The three trade associations are the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and the National Association of Health Underwriters.
