20 companies join in effort to keep employee healthcare costs low

Twenty major companies are teaming up to keep the amount they spend on employee healthcare as low as possible. The alliance--which includes American Express, Macy's, Verizon and others--plans to share information about members' employee health spending and outcomes with a focus on using the findings to change how they contract for care, according to the Wall Street Journal. However, executives at some of the orgniazations note that it is too soon to say for sure what they will identify as areas for savings. Article
