Trump unveils plan to repeal, replace ACA

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump offered details about his plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act in a recent interview with "60 Minutes." Trump calls the current healthcare reform law a "disaster" because of rising insurance premiums, but tells interviewer Scott Pelley that his plan to replace the ACA would cover everyone, acknowledging that such a proposal may not make him popular with some Republicans. To implement his plan, Trump says he would "make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people," adding that the government will pay for it but that "for the most part it's going to be a private plan," which will feature robust consumer choice and allow individuals to keep their doctors.
