WASHINGTON, DC, July 20, 2012 -- The National Business Group on Health will host a press briefing on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. ET at the National Press Club to announce the results of a nationwide survey of U.S. employees on their attitudes and behaviors toward company-provided health care benefits in the wake of a recovering economy, health care reform and rising health benefit costs.

Helen Darling, President and CEO, will discuss the findings of the survey which asked more than 1,500 employees the following:

  • How satisfied are employees with their health benefits now versus five years ago?
  • How knowledgeable are employees about the investment in health benefits their employers makes?
  • What do employees value the most about their health coverage?
  • Would employees be able to shop for insurance on their own and purchase the same or better insurance on their own?
  • How do employees view wellness programs?

Darling will also discuss what employers can do with the survey results to control costs and provide high quality health care benefits.
